| The Cooperative Research
Centre (CRC) for Plant-based Management of Dryland Salinity
posted to all Landmark Agronomists their first edition
of SALT magazine in late December. This very popular publication
was previously administered by National Dryland Salinity
Program (NDSP) covering personal stories of Australians
combating and learning to live with dryland salinity.
This current magazine follows-on
from earlier editions covering changing landuse practices
landholders are introducing, some assisted by Landmark
Agronomists. The edition highlights the production outcomes
Landmark's Clare based Agrisystems Agronomist Caroline
Reichstein, is achieving with her work at the same time
showing the increased production is also addressing environmental
issues.
As well it covers the very
good article about one of the many profitable land management
changes introduced by Bendigo's Paul Lomax to/on his client's
farm.
Demand for extra copies
is constant, therefore if you wish to have your name or
that of a landholder client added to the mailing list
for a copy of this edition SALT magazine, or Focus on
Salt, please contact me (details below).

This photo shows the effect dryland salinity is still
having on the client's paddock even though drains have
been introduced.
While
this photo reinforces the benefits Paul (centre) is able
to bring to his client from the introduction of Tall Wheat
grass.
